Felix Mendelssohn worked on this concerto for six years. It is one of the most beautiful and popular in concerto literature — eloquent, passionate, lofty, and brilliant. A romantic-era classic of epic proportions. This version includes a newly engraved urtext score with orchestral reduction printed alongside the solo part and a second CD, as well as the usual Music Minus One accompaniment CD, featuring two alternate versions, one a slightly slower 'traditional' tempo version and also a further slowed practice version of the accompaniment to help you get up to speed!

The sheet music comes with CD recordings of the work, one version with the solo part and accompaniment, and one with just the accompaniment for you to play along to. Geoffrey Applegate is the violin soloist with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra conducted by Franz Litschauer.

Sheet music and two CDs.
