Created on the occasion of the Julliard School's 100th anniversary, this book offers an unprecedented look at Juilliard's historic stringed instrument collection. This is the first presentation of the conservatory's collection that includes instruments by Stradivari, Amati, Bergonzi, Guadagnini and Gagliano, a Grancino and a Carlo Mantegazza viola and cellos by Carlo Tononi and Jose Contreras. The excellent photographs are of the whole instrument.
